Developed from the earlier 19 and 92 Class locomotives of the Caledonian Railway, the 439 Class was designed by John McIntosh in 1900 with a later modifications performed by William Pickersgill in 1915.
In total 92 of the class were built, with one example of the class surviving to preservation with the Scottish Railway Preservation Society
Rolled Boiler, Includes brass chassis and body, nickel silver rods and alternative parts for LMS and BR locos.
Current kit is for the original McIntosh design, alternative parts to build the Pickersgill design will be considered if sufficient interest is received.
